Rhododendron ‘Geisho Purple’ 1L

Also known as azalea, they are ornamental shrubs that are often planted in gardens. They delight with exceptionally decorative flowers that appear in early spring. Adequate soil is a prerequisite for the good development of rhododendrons. It must be definitely acidic (pH = 4.5-5.5), and constantly slightly moist. Rhododendrons benefit from a humid (forest) climate, so they feel best in light shade, for example under the tree crowns, where they are sheltered from the scorching sun and strong winds. After flowering, rhododendron inflorescences are recommended to be removed (broken off), as they weaken the plant and contribute to a weaker flowering next year. It does not require pruning.
